Reservations
To confirm a reservation, 50% deposit is due within 7 business days of verbal or email confirmation. The balance of 50% is due 60 days prior to arrival date. If you are confirming reservations 60 days or less before arrival date, the total amount of the reservation is due upon confirmation of 7 business days.
Holidays
The guest will pay 50% of total balance 7 business days after confirmation of reservation. Balance is due 60 days before arrival date.
Cancellations
Villas
Reservations for homes canceled more than 90 days in advance result in a $150.00 penalty. 90 - 60 days in advance of cancellation, $200.00 less than 60 days results in a penalty of 50% of the rental and it will be credited towards a future visit.
Condos
Reservations for condos canceled more than 90 days in advance result in a $100.00 penalty. 90-45 days in advance of cancellation, $150.00 less than 45 days results, in a penalty of 50% of the rental and it will be credited towards a future visit.
Liability Policy
The renter named in this agreement will be responsible for themselves and all guests whether they are registered in the property or not. The renter acknowledges that Mayan Sands, its owners, employees, and agents do not carry personal liability insurance and can not be held responsible regardless of fault, for any accident, loss, damage or injury suffered by the renter, members of their party or any other guests which the renter or their party have allowed access to the property, regardless if said loss is a result directly or indirectly from acts of god, danger incident to the sea, any body of water, fire, breakdown of machinery, equipment, acts of government or other authorities, de jure or de facto, wars (whether declared or not), hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, custom regulations, delays or cancellations of or changes in itineraries or schedule or from acts of omission of any airline. Furthermore, the renter will release and hold harmless any and all parties involved with the rental, management and reservations of the property and to release and hold harmless it's owners or representatives for any loss or damage to personal property or for any injury and/or death.
**9/11 policy - "If plane flies the guest needs to also". There is no possibility of credits or refunds otherwise.
**No refunds on holiday reservations.
